May 19th Newsletter
Administrative Notes
upcoming events:
Show and Tell:
This Friday will be our last show-and-tell. Students may bring any item of their choice to share with
the class.
Guest
Speaker:
Mr. Kituku
will be coming for a special presentation at 10 A.M. on Monday, May 24th. A light luncheon will follow the presentation.
Please speak to Mrs. Hamilton if you have any questions.
Park Clean-up Day:
We will be cleaning the park up on Tuesday, May 25th from 9:10-10:10. Please remember to
send your child in clothes that can get dirty, Shiloh t-shirt, and sturdy disposable gloves.
Teacher for a Day:
On Wednesday, the 26th, each student will give a five-minute presentation on a topic
of their choice. This can be anything from how to make a beaded name necklace, to how to play the harmonica, to a presentation
on the student’s favorite composers. This is a fun chance for your child to show what he or she knows about something
unique.
Petco/Ihop/Capitol
Field Trip:
Our last
field trip of the year will feature a visit to Petco, a fun lunch at Ihop, and a self-guided tour of the capitol. So far I
have one driver for this event. Please let me know if you can also help with transportation. We will leave the school around
10 AM on the 26th of May.
Kindergarten Graduation:
Our wonderful Kindergartner
will be graduating on May 27th at 6 PM.
Art Show/Spelling Bee/Clean up day:
Our last day of school will be a day of great fun. The students will put on a small art show where they
will showcase their artwork. They will participate in a spelling bee, and we will clean the modular, and rooms that we use
in the church.
Permission to view videos:
We
will be viewing the following educational videos on the last week of school: Moody
Institute The Wonders of God’s Creation: Planet Earth and Animal Kingdom; Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong Trousers; The
Magic School Bus: Bugs, Bugs, Bugs; and Family Entertainment Network Bible story videos. Please e-mail me by Friday and let me know if your child may view all or some of these videos. Thanks!

This will be my last newsletter of the year. Can you believe it?! Wow, this year has flown by, and we have had a
lot of fun. Thank you for all you have done to support Shiloh and your children. If you are able, please join us in celebrating
Kindergarten graduation next Thursday night.
